Responsible Luxury: The Hommard Circular program
The Philosophy
Luxury is not just defined by the softness of a fiber, but by the integrity of its journey. At Hommard, we believe that the clothes we wear should be a testament to craftsmanship and a commitment to the planet. For our FW26/27 collection, we are doubling down on our mission: creating timeless knitwear that respects the heritage of the Atlantic and the future of our environment.
The Hommard Circular Program
We don't want our garments to end up in a landfill. We want them to evolve. Our Circular Program is a shared commitment between the brand and the wearer to keep precious fibers in motion.
How the Loop Works:
- Request: Fill out our form to register your 100% cashmere item (any brand).
- Ship: Send your clean, dry knitwear to our Dutch warehouse. To keep our carbon footprint low and our prices fair, we ask that you manage the shipping to our facility. The shipping address will be send to you after registering your recycle request.
- Earn: Once verified, we will email you a €15 credit to be used on your next Hommard investment (minimum spend €150). Limit of one voucher per transaction.
- Re-Born: We sort and collect these fibers to be mechanically recycled, repurposed into accessories, or used for high-end industrial insulation.
Our Pillars of Responsibility
1. Grade-A Sourcing
We use only long-staple Mongolian cashmere and premium wools. By choosing the highest quality raw materials, we ensure our garments last longer, pilling less and retaining their shape for years. Longevity is the truest form of sustainability.
2. Hand-Linked Integrity
Mass production often leads to waste. Our sweaters are hand-linked, a slow-fashion technique that ensures every seam is perfectly joined. This results in a superior fit and a garment that won't unravel, reducing the need for replacement.
3. Looking Toward FW26/27
Our goal for the upcoming seasons is to integrate the very fibers we collect from you back into our production line. By supporting Hommard, you are helping us build a "Fiber Bank" that will power a more sustainable, recycled luxury collection in the years to come.
